Boo You and a Pumpkin too

early in the day, an emergency meeting was held by all the Beach Hut Bears for yet again, there was worry on the minds of many, that. . . . someone had forgot to get pumpkins to carve on Halloween.





but, Tiny Tartan quickly called to the attention of all the bears that his bestest friend in the whole wide world, Treasure Bear and the very nice lady he lives with, had sent an extra special parcel, which held extra special treats, wrapped with extra special super cute stickers and also included a extra super special handmade small bear sized pumpkin garland made especially by Treasure Bear himself!





so special that two extra friends came to see the extra special treats for themselves and lend any help that might be needed. . .







for example, in the kitchen, baking. . or more specifically helping 'someone' keep closer eye on timer of oven and the Charlie Brown/Great Pumpkin cookies. . .





however, earlier in the week, we opened the just add super cuteness Halloween cupcake papers and sprinkles sent by Treasure and thank goodness those turned out alright




Tiny also found some older Halloween decorations including a plug in lamp from 'back in the day'





and Pudsey got some help making Starbucks salted caramel hot chocolate with spooky marshmallows









unfortunately, someone cut her finger carving pumpkins so there is only one and is not as good as last year's...so there might have to be a follow up photo with Castell Coch carved pumpkin and wishing to get this in tonight , we will end with saying Happy Halloween Buggest Higs always from all of us at the Beach Hut <3 xooxxoxox

no pumpkins?

not in town where we got ours last year. nope! none. so off we went to the farm where there were lots and lots!




and cute baby goats.....

and mud.....and Christmas trees in the distance....

Back at home, Tiny scoops and gets the pumpkin ready for carving,





Barista and Twin are in charge of candy,





Tiny sorts out the popcorn and soda,





and picks a movie per tradition.

and then....




off go the lights! movie is starting, are we all ready? no?

Boo!!

We were a little worried there might not be any pumpkins left because 'someone' sort of waited until the last minute. And after last year, when 'someone' forgot to buy candy, well, worry was believed to be on the minds of many at the Beach Hut. But there were still quite a few and Tiny picked one that all the bears would share.


When we got home, we looked for the extra special pretty pumpkin that only comes out for a few days each year for fear of it getting broken. Tiny thought Treasure especially would like to see because we understand the Nice Lady he lives with adores pumpkins!




There is a spot in the back where you put a votive candle and the little windows light up.


And a little door.



Tiny would have tried to crawl inside, but all the Beach Hut Bears were saying, "Hurry up, let's carve The Pumpkin"



Now what. . . .?



We cut it open. . . . . .


they hadn't seen inside a pumpkin before,



Twin scooped and scooped . . . .


and Tiny had a peek .




Then we put a candle in, turned down the kitchen lights, and. . . .



Ohhhh, look!!!


The Mischief Duo sorted the candy for it was agreed we would watch a movie.


And Tiny sorted out the popcorn in a hurry.

And finally we opened a special treat that we've been saving and saving and saving just for today. Dip Dab!!! Yummmmmmmm!!! It was very hard to wait, you understand.



Tiny had to 'measure' ( he does that a lot ) next to the Sherbet fountain that we were also saving and saving, wondering how to open. I am to report it is delicious!!! !!!!!!! !!!






And easily removed from bear fur.

Bubbles and Blackberry Pie

The other day, Tiny was blowing bubbles on the deck. . . . .




. . . . and the yummy smell of the bubbles reminded him. . . .

. . . . of making blackberry pie. . . .

. . . . . so, he went and found Twin. . . . .

. . . . .and they went and found Barista and all three went down to the beach where lots of blackberries grow.
They helped each other pick. . . .
. . . . and clean up some that spilled.
Until they had enough for pie.


We didn't have a proper small bear sized pie pan, but no-one minded. No-one knew we used a jello mold, so ssshhh. . .

Then, Barista and Twin were helping him out and. . . . . .
